This December the 2013 Professional Women in Advocacy Conference will host two discussions pertaining to health care policy – an Affordable Care Act session and a health industry roundtable. Both sessions will feature public officials from the Hill and/or Administration alongside industry advocates from hospitals, health systems, associations, insurers, exchanges, non-profits, pharmaceutical companies and device manufacturers. The industry roundtable will take place on Monday, December 9 and is designed to give participants an opportunity to break into groups by sector/issue area to network, share information and learn from each other. Each break out group will have a thought leader leading the discussion. The ACA session is on Tuesday, December 10th and will feature a panel discussion of health policy experts presenting federal, state and local perspectives on implementation of the Act. Speakers and sponsors are being recruited at this time. For more information on the conference or to view the full agenda, please visit www.womeninadvocacy.com.
